As special advisor to the Dean, David will oversee administration of student scholarship programs, student and alumni engagement, and stewardship for the Honors College. Working with the students and his colleagues at the Honors College is a privilege for David. He is inspired by their energy, commitment, creativity, and passion.
David holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester.
David started his career as principal bassists for the Albany (NY) Symphony Orchestra. After 14 years, he left performing to work in the nonprofit world. Prior to his time at the UA, he has raised funds for the New York State Museum, the North Shore (Boston) AIDS Health Project, New England ballet, and the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire.
In his free time, David is an avid photographer, cook, and writer, and publishes on a weekly food blog (Cocoa & Lavender) that brings all three of these passions together.
