Karen is an academic advisor in the W.A. Franke Honors College. She is an alumni of the University of Arizona Honors College, graduating with her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Psychology. She has also earned a Master of Education Degree with a focus on Counseling and Human Development from Northern Arizona University.  She has many years of experience helping students at the University of Arizona. She’s worked as an Academic Advisor for the Departments of Psychology, Anthropology, Economics, Journalism and the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. Not long before joining the Honors College she earned her Certified Financial Planner designation and worked as a Financial Advisor in Tucson. When she’s not working with students, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two Labrador Retrievers, Kona and Kylo.
