Assistant Director, Honors Global Experience

Lysette Davi is the Assistant Director, Honors Global Experience, primarily developing pathways for students to engage with a global community. Lysette collaborates across campus and with international partners to develop study abroad opportunities that leverage learning and skill development for students. Lysette connects with the Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) designation and works across campus to build relationships to further develop bi-national collaborations across the U.S. Mexico-Border in order for students to learn and consider social issues in the borderlands. She also teaches cultural humility through the Honors Study Abroad Credit Reduction program. 

Lysette is originally from Sacramento, California. She earned her BA in Political Science from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Higher Education from The University of Arizona. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps as a teacher of English in the Philippines. Her research focuses on internationalization, online learning, cultural humility and transnational education models. Lysette was an HSI Fellow (2020-2021). She is currently in the  NASFA Academy. Lysette has previously been awarded Tucson’s 40 Under 40, The College of Education Outstanding Graduate Student, University of Arizona's Centennial Achievement Award, The Lexie Kamerman Dedication to Social Justice Award, and is an Erasmus Circle Scholar.
