Creative Intelligence and Innovation Major and Minor (BCII & CII)

Students working with industry partners in a BCII course

MORE THAN A DEGREE:
YOUR TOOLKIT FOR CREATING TOMORROW

Your primary major gives you expertise. CII helps you connect that expertise to real world challenge spaces. Each course in the program is like a mini-internship where you work with industry and community partners alongside motivated, exceptional students from different disciplinary backgrounds, so you leave college with the connections and capabilities to thrive after graduation.

Industry Partnerships
Take Learning Beyond the Classroom

Each CII course involves a project with a community or industry partner. Students will work together to tackle a challenge problem, taking on new perspectives, building a professional network, and gaining valuable experience along the way.

Past and Current Partners Include:

  • The Red Cross
  • Sonoran Institute
  • Creative Machines
  • Pima Federal Credit Union
  • Mission Gardens
  • Pima County Administrator's Office
Challenge Example: Pima County Attractions and Tourism

Old Tucson – the renowned film set and family theme park in Tucson – has had broad success over many years but is largely dependent on an older and aging customer base. Going forward, how might this attraction be reimagined and repositioned to appeal to a younger and broader audience?
