The sights, the sounds, the culture – absorb it all during this life-changing experience. Any Franke Honors student can apply! In addition to creating lifelong memories, you'll earn 7 Honors units—1 during the spring and 6 while studying abroad during the summer.

SUMMER 2025 TRIPS
GREECE
June 2 - June 25 with Professor Claire McLane
Courses: HNRS 209B (EP Humanist) and HNRS 208H (Building Connections)
Deadline to apply: January 9, 2025
Absorb the sights, sounds and culture of Greece while exploring your own identities, histories, and mythologies. You'll read ancient Greek myths in translation while simultaneously reading contemporary retellings and participating in sense of place exercises and practices.
SPAIN AND ITALY
July 8 - 30 with Professor Amanda Kraus
Courses: HNRS 208H(Elective for Civic Leadership Certificate and BC) and HNRS 209B (EP Humanist)
Deadline to apply: January 9, 2025
Learn about Universal Design while exploring disability and accessibility in major historical cities. You'll visit Barcelona, Spain, a city of tremendous historical and cultural significance that has led in developing and redesigning spaces for inclusion. You'll also travel to Rome, Italy and the small country of Andorra to assess challenges for universal access and how those challenges can be addressed.
Study Abroad and Study Away with Franke Honors
Spring Study Away
The two unit course, offered Spring 2025, includes a one week trip to Montgomery, Alabama, where you will will have an opportunity to visit historic sites and speak with leaders and activists that are dedicated to understanding the impact of enslavement on the civil rights movement now and in the past.
Semester Global Experience Policy
Students can earn a credit reduction of six-units through UArizona direct semester study abroad.
