Apr 21 Image HHV Speaker Series: Dr. Daniel Menchick 5 – 6:30 p.m., April 21, 2026 At this HHV Speaker Series session, Dr. Daniel Menchick will join us and talk about his experience in sociology and medicine. Dr. Menchick is an Associate Professort of Sociology at the University of Arizona. He wrote Managing Medical Authority which explains how physicians, hospitals, and private companies together shape how medical authority is managed and maintained. Join us at this session and learn how Dr. Menchick has integrated research in medicine, work and occupations, culture, qualitative methods, and theory.
Mar 24 Image HHV Speaker Series: Dr. Mari Ricker 5 – 6:30 p.m., March 24, 2026 At this HHV Speaker Series session, Dr. Mari Ricker will join us and talk about her experience in medicine. From graduating from the U of A College of Medicine in 2002 and practicing with Banner in Tucson, AZ she is deeply embedded in our community. She enjoys helping students, faculty, and residents learn to care for themselves as healers. Join us at this talk and get to learn from Dr. Ricker and her experiences!

Pop on into these office hours with W.A. Franke Honors staff members for help! They'll be available to share examples of supplementary documents (statement and budgets), provide feedback on drafted documents, and/or answer any lingering questions.
Mar 04 Image Exploratory Mini Grant Application Workshop 5 – 6 p.m., March 4, 2026 This workshop is designed to prepare students to submit the Exploratory Mini Grant (EMG) application (due April 3rd). We will go over the application process, provide examples of statements of purpose and budgets, answer any lingering questions students may have about how to submit the best representation of their project.
