HHV Requirements

There are two "tracks" in the HHV minor-- thesis and non-thesis.   

The thesis track students are required to take 24 units and for the non-thesis track, students are required to take 18 units.    

Note: Doing one's thesis in HHV entails working with an adviser from a social science or humanities discipline outside of one's major and graduating with honors in Health and Human Values.   
 
Required Core Courses For Thesis Track (15 units)  
HNRS 250H  

Methods in Health and Human Values  

(3 units) (pre-requisite to all other HHV courses) -- Taught each spring semester  

HNRS 393H Internship (3 units) - Taught every semester
HNRS 498

Senior Capstone (3 units) - Taught each fall semester 

HNRS 498H 

Honors Thesis (6 units) - Students will be  

enrolled in HNRS 49H in both the Fall and  

Spring semesters of their senior year.
