Where

You may feel real smooth in your day-to-day life. Maybe you’re somewhat of a Shakespeare IRL or on the apps. But how do you feel communicating in professional contexts, like in job interviews?

If you think you could use some practice and direction in professional communication, come to this workshop!

The W.A. Franke Honors College is collaborating with the experts at Student Engagement and Career Development to teach you how to speak with confidence and ease about your experience and talents, whether you are interviewing or giving an elevator pitch to a potential professional connection.

The topics we’ll cover:

  • How to speak effectively about your experience and skills, especially in elevator pitches and interviews

  • How to research an organization or company in preparation for those interactions

  • How to follow up after a meeting or interview
