Benjamin and Andrea Driggs Honors Travel Quest Endowment Funds Franke Honors Student Research

The W.A. Franke Honors College is proud to announce the establishment of the Benjamin and Andrea Driggs Honors Travel Quest Endowment, a new fund that will expand research opportunities for honors students by supporting travel for research and presentations.
This endowment was created by Benjamin (’96) and Andrea Driggs as a way of giving back to the University of Arizona and strengthening the distinctive Franke Honors College experience. Ben, who graduated in 1996 with degrees in Economics and Latin American Studies, served as President of the Associated Students of the University of Arizona (ASUA), was a member of Bobcats Senior Honorary, and Sigma Chi Fraternity. He credits his time at Arizona with shaping his academic, leadership, and personal development.
“The University of Arizona gave me a fantastic experience, both inside and outside the classroom,” said Ben Driggs. “We want to ensure that today’s honors students have those same opportunities to grow, learn, and stand out as they prepare for their next steps. Supporting undergraduate research through travel is a powerful way to make that happen.”
The Driggs family is passionate about enhancing the total student experience. Their vision for the endowment is to provide Franke Honors College students with resources to travel across the country—or even the world—to conduct research or present their findings, helping them to further differentiate themselves for graduate school and career opportunities.
Franke Dean John Pollard emphasized the endowment’s alignment with the college’s innovative Quest program, which empowers students to pursue individualized pathways of research, leadership, and creativity. “Thanks to the generosity of Benjamin and Andrea Driggs, our students will have expanded opportunities to take their Quest projects beyond Tucson and share their work on national and global stages. This support directly strengthens the mission of the Quest program and underscores the transformative power of a University of Arizona education.”
The Benjamin and Andrea Driggs Honors Travel Quest Endowment will support generations of Franke Honors Wildcats as they pursue meaningful research, expand their horizons, and prepare for lifelong success.
