I Mentor Because…I mentor because my experiences as a mentee throughout high school and my first year of college were invaluable in allowing me to adjust to new environments. Furthermore, the opportunity to help students adjust to these new environments is endlessly rewarding. Whether my role as a mentor has been to closely guide a student throughout their first year at a new school or simply to offer tidbits of advice here an there, I am fulfilled to know that I have helped others navigate an otherwise daunting part of their lives.
