Where
This year-long speaker series will feature a range of guests with experience in the fields of Health and Human Values.
Join us for a Zoom conversation with Harris Kornstein, Assistant Professor in the Department of Public & Applied Humanities.
Professor Kornstein works on contemporary technologies and digital cultures alongside queer/trans and disability studies.
His current book project, supported by an NEH Fellowship, looks at what drag queens can teach us about how to creatively counter the harms of technologies.
He will discuss with us his recently co-edited anthology How to Be Disabled in a Pandemic (NYU Press, Feb 2025).
Outside the classroom, Prof. Kornstein is a drag queen, and has performed at venues ranging from San Francisco’s legendary Stud bar to SFMOMA, Stanford University, and Saturday Night Live.
