The W.A. Franke Honors College has created the First Year Experience exclusively for entering freshman students to help with the transition to college, create connections, and succeed academically, socially, intellectually and personally.
The First Year Experience empowers students to become actively engaged and find confidence as learners and researchers. First Year Experience components include special Franke Honors Seminars, a Common Reading program, opportunities to begin undergraduate research, and even an optional study abroad program over the summer after the first year (The Honors Trip). Expect everything from serious debates to field trips with your professors.
