This internship is suited for UA Honors students interested in engaging in academic research and conduction data collection and analysis related to curricular innovation and interdisciplinary course design. 

Orthopaedic Outcomes Internship Program: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery provides students with the opportunity to assist with the collection of functional and patient reported-outcomes for the purposes of determining the quality of orthopaedic care provided by Banner University Medical Center – Tucson/South.

When Dieter and Niels Mohty step forward at the Tucson Convention Center on May 9th, they’re not only one of three sets of twins doing so. With older brothers Ralph and Kurt preceding them, the pair of Microbiology and Physiology double-majors has found new ways to build on what’s become a family tradition.

Entering the Honors College is a time both of significant adjustment and unexpected growth. In some cases, friends and family members are waiting on-campus to make the transition easier.

What’s circulating in the air? Embedded and active in the soil? A part of living creatures, great and small – including us? The answer is microbes, and they outnumber human cells in each person’s body by 10-to-1. The news is both good and bad as they are needed but can create havoc if left uncontested as potential allergens.

The idea behind 9-1-1 prompted emergency services is solid. “Go where needed now, effectively and efficiently” could be the motto for agencies responding to urgent calls. But even within urgency are widely divergent degrees of need. Health and Human Values students from the University of Arizona are part of turning these distinctions into better, more focused care.
