New Student Induction Ceremony

When

10 a.m., Oct. 12, 2019

The Honors College Induction Ceremony is the official welcome for first-year students and their families. This event marks the only time prior to graduation that the entire Class of 2023 gathers as one. This is a time for everyone - students, parents, faculty, and staff- to meet one another, talk about the University, and articulate some of the ideals that define us as a place of learning and growth.

NOTE: There is a UA campus-wide honors convocation ceremony for sophomores, juniors and seniors on Friday, October 5 of Family Weekend. This is not an Honors College ceremony and should not be confused with the Honors College New Student Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 12, 2019!

Please RSVP HERE for the Honors New Student Induction Ceremony. To prevent duplicate registrations, we ask students to RSVP for their entire family.

Attire: nice casual (Family Weekend comfortable).

Please plan to arrive between 9:30 am and 9:45 am - seating is limited and on a first-come basis. Students and their families can be seated together. The program will begin at 10:00am.

Length of Ceremony and Reception: approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Location: Honors Village, 1101 E Mabel St.

Immediately following the ceremony, students, their families, and staff are invited to a reception.

Parking: Nearby visitor parking is available in the Zone 1 lots immediately south of the Honors Village. Please see the UA parking map for more information.
