The Hult is the world's largest student start-up competition and this event will be showcasing our qualifiers here at the U of A. Winners here will go on to the National Competition.
Nov 19 Image Franke Pride 5 – 6:30 p.m., Nov. 19, 2025 The W.A. Franke Honors College is hosting our first Pride event and you're invited! In collaboration with Franke Lavender Scholars, we will be holding a Voguing workshop and receiving a lesson about the history and importance of the Ballroom Scene in queer culture. Come get some free food, learn some history, and DANCE!
Feb 10 Image Black Culture and Movement 4 – 6 p.m., Feb. 10, 2026 Celebrate Black history, culture, and the arts with performances, activities, and food from a local black-owned business. There will be a DJ and a Black history activities table to commemorate the month.

Franke Honors College signature event, The Franke Fling, is a student planned dance supported by the staff and faculty of the honors college. There will be a DJ, snacks, photos, and the opportunity to mix and mingle with all of your classmates.
Nov 19 Image Bridging Borders: Artist Panel 5 – 6 p.m., Nov. 19, 2025 The W.A. Franke Honors College is excited to host the third in the series of Bridging Borders series. This session will feature a panel of student artists talking about the projects that they created for occasions such as their Honors thesis and other research projects. Come hear how these students have integrated art into their learning journey and research!
Oct 30 Image Dia De Los Muertos Event 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Oct. 30, 2025 Drop in to the first floor of the Campus Store between 10 am and 5 pm and make your own clay piece for our Dia de los Muertos altar. Staff from the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) will be on-site with clay and tools for any students that would like to come by and make a piece to place on the altar for the Day of the Dead event that will take place on October 30th between 5 pm and 7 pm.
