Dr. Robert Stephan has been selected as the next Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the W.A. Franke Honors College. Before joining the W.A. Franke Honors College, he served as an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Religious Studies and Classics at the University of Arizona and a Fellow in the Program of Writing and Rhetoric at Stanford University.

The Winston Churchill Foundation has awarded W.A. Franke Honors College senior Bryce Wilson a 2025 Churchill Scholarship, which supports undergraduate students who wish to pursue a year of Master's study in science, mathematics and engineering at Cambridge University.

The beginning of February marks the start of Black History Month, and we are kicking off this monumental month with some exciting events in and around the W.A. Franke Honors College including highlighting Black innovation, music, culture, movement, and more!

The Franke Honors College celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In the spirit of Dr. King, this is a time for us to activate the W.A. Franke Honors College values: We Seek, We Connect, We Create, We Evolve, and We Celebrate.

On December 19 at Crowder Hall the W.A. Franke Honors College will be celebrating the fall graduating class of 2024. Every semester, we acknowledge select students that have exemplified the values of the college; what it means to seek, connect, create, evolve and celebrate, both personally and academically.

At the beginning of November, Franke Honors leaders Drs Nadia Alvarez Mexia and Karna Walter, along with Dr. Andrew Fleck from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, presented the inaugural HSI-Honors group and recent successes at the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) Conference in Kansas City, MO.

W.A. Franke Honors College student Bryce Wilson has received the 2024 Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) award, one of the largest merit-based scholarships awarded to undergraduate STEM juniors and seniors.
