At the Franke Honors College, we are committed to exploring the ways our identity as an Honors College and a Hispanic Serving Institution intersect year-round.

Through resources at Franke Honors, Yona Kleinerman created StudiousCat, a virtual tool that will allow students to find study groups and partners at the University of Arizona based on their courses, assignments, and availability.

Visiting Associate Professor of Practice Dr. Jacqueline Melvold has been named the new Compton Chair for Intelligence and Innovation. This endowed faculty position was established through a generous $3.2 million gift made to the W.A. Franke Honors College last fall by Dr. John Lee Compton.

First-year Franke Honors student Ilana Valenzuela is eager to study aerospace and mechanical engineering. "I genuinely wish there was infinite time to take every class and learn everything about every field of science," she said.

After being accepted into 27 different colleges, Franke Honors Wildcat Anastasia Rastelli chose the University of Arizona for its strengths in the sciences, and film and television. She will also pursue a bachelor's degree in creative intelligence and innovation, a dual degree only offered in the W.A. Franke Honors College.
