Welcome to the Franke Honors College!

Admission to the W.A. Franke Honors College is very competitive, and you should be proud of your achievement. We know you'll be a wonderful addition to the Franke Honors community, and we can't wait to see how you leverage the many available resources as you seek, connect, create, evolve, and celebrate throughout your undergraduate experience.

Create and Innovate

Participate in learning that transcends disciplinary boundaries and bridges the gap between academic and professional experience. Through our Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, minor in Creative Intelligence and Innovation, unique minors and certificates, and extracurriculars like the Venture Studio, we offer an enhanced educational experience to all of our students.

Research Across Disciplines

Undergraduate research opportunities at Franke Honors start as early as your first year with Quest, and carry through to your final year, when you'll complete an Honors Thesis. Exploratory Mini-Grants, from $5,000 for individual projects to $10,000 for team projects, can be used to support your work on Quest, Thesis, or any other project of your choice.

Connect with Community

Get involved from day one with clubs and programs like PATH, a peer mentoring and leadership program that brings Franke Honors students together through shared interests, backgrounds, and goals. Enrich your experience through scholar groups like Sankofa, Sunrise, and Lavender, and celebrate with signature events like Bear Down for Franke Honors, Black Culture & Movement, and the Franke Fling.

Funding opportunities, dedicated honors academic advisors, priority registration, small, interdisciplinary honors gen ed courses, and study abroad opportunities—these are just a few of the perks of being a Franke Honors Wildcat.

Scholarships 

In addition to institution-wide scholarships, Franke Honors students can fund their dreams through a number of honors-exclusive scholarships. You'll also have direct access to the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships (ONCS), housed in the Honors Village, for application support and mentorship when applying for scholarships like Fulbright, Rhodes, Truman, and more.

Academic Advising

All students will be assigned an academic advisor in their primary major, but Franke Honors students have the benefit of a second honors-specific advisor to help you navigate and make the most of all opportunities available to you as a Franke Honors student.

The Honors Village

With study spaces, a dining hall, a digital maker space, and classrooms, the Honors Village is a home away from home for all Franke Honors students, regardless of whether or not you're a resident. The Honors Village also conveniently houses the college's offices, so if you need to meet with faculty, an advisor, or a staff member you can find them easily.
