Spring 2025

This is a dynamic course where students investigate notions of community and civic engagement. Students are asked to engage with real-world practice in this hands-on experiential learning class, with a special emphasis on turning ideas into action through multimodal communication. Students will spend time working with and learning from community partners and each other, and will work in interdisciplinary teams to address and respond to ideas generated through this experience. Students should expect to spend about 45 hours on community-based projects that the host organization often would be unable to complete with their own resources. Students will spend time unveiling their personal values and identities to better understand solutions to social issues and will hone their communication and content creation skills.
