With already-elevated hopes for incoming fall 2019 students, the Honors College team was impressed and encouraged well beyond the opening of the Honors Village. That’s because a record 1,155 freshmen entered the College, along with 181 transfer students. A combined GPA average between Arizona and out-of-state freshmen landed at 3.896, with SAT scores hitting 1408.6.  Not surprisingly, ACT scores averaged 30.5 to further exceed College goals.

The University of Arizona received over 40,000 applications from around the globe, with graduate student enrollment expected to hit an all-time high with a substantial increase in diversity. As UA President Robert C. Robbins stated, “I am thrilled to see what they will achieve during their time here.”
