I Mentor Because… As I reflect on my first year I am inspired by the support my mentor gave me when I was struggling on my major choice, looking for research, or just finding ways to express my ambition. Starting college is exciting for all these reasons. I want to mentor by supporting my mentees with their ambitions to, trying to guide them in not only their interests, but also in getting to know themselves better. The beauty of my first year was understanding more about myself through all these mentors I had. I am excited to share that with my mentees so that they can grow and blossom throughout their first year as an honors student at the UA.
