I Mentor Because… can understand that the transition into college can be unpredictable, scary and full of overwhelming opportunities and experiences, and PATH provides opportunity for clarity, community and support. I chose to become a mentor to give back to the PATH program and community, who supported me when I was a mentee, and to assist students who are in their own process of navigating their journey at the University of Arizona. Regardless of if I am a mentor who students come to with questions, for friendly conversation or with the problems they are having- as a mentor I strive to build connections and create a stronger community while on campus.
