Have you participated in scouting to its highest degree? Interested in water conservation? Is global health part of your academic plan? Below are some scholarships based on your interests.

Andria Ligas Memorial Scholarship

Award: up to $800 
Number of Awards: 1
Eligibility:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher   
  • Completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the
    appropriate year   
  • Must exhibit financial need 
  • Member of the Honors College (incoming freshmen are not eligible)   
  • Active in at least two of the following: Bike Racing; Cross Country; Track and Field; Swimming; Triathlete; Music; Film; Art; Dance; Media Arts; Theatre; Poetry; Languages; Photography; Print Communications; Visual Arts; Fashion; Graphic Arts/Design; Fine Arts

Kissling Spirit of Inquiry Scholarship

Award: up to $1,000 
Number of Awards: up to 3
Eligibility:

  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher  
  • Must be in the W.A. Franke Honors College    
  • Incoming freshman are not eligible

Fall Close Date: May 1, 2024

Time commitment: up to an hour

Heather Lenkin Honors Scholarship (Global Health and/or Water Conservation)

Award: up to $1,000 
Number of Awards: up to 2
Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be current UA Honors students. Incoming freshman are not eligible.  
  • Minimum GPA 3.5    
  • Member of UA Honors College 
  • Must be studying topics in Global Health or Water Conservation or be enrolled in a program in either field. Examples of fields of study: 
    • Public Health 
    • Water Conservation 
    • Global Health 
    • Environmental Studies 
    • Physiology

Scouting (Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts/ Scouts BSA)

Award: up to $1,000 
Number of Awards: up to 2
Eligibility:

  • Franke Honors students who have achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award or Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America / Scouts BSA  
  • Demonstrate financial need through filing of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)      
  • Minimum GPA 3.5  
  • 15 or more Arizona credits completed

Fall Close Date: April 1, 2024

Time commitment: up to 1 hour

Elizabeth Read Taylor Scholarship

Award: up to $1,500  
Number of Awards: up to 3
Eligibility:

  • Enrolled/Active in the W.A. Franke Honors College  
  • Minimum 3.4 GPA      
  • Completed at least 15 UA units  
  • Financial Need 
  • Officially affiliated with UA Disability Resource Center

The Elizabeth Read Taylor Honors Scholarship was established to assist W.A Franke Honors students with financial need who are affiliated with the DRC (Disability Resource Center) with the costs of their tuition, fees, books and other educational expenses.
