EF Hult Prize Workshop 1: Defining the Problem and Developing a Solution

This is the first of two workshops to prepare for the Hult Prize campus qualifier on February 6. This session covers the first half of a Hult Prize pitch: identifying a problem connected to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and developing a solution to it.

The session has two parts. The first covers how to define a problem: who has it, what it costs them, what they do about it now, and how to tell a cause from a symptom. The second covers how to move from the problem to possible solutions and how to choose among them. After each part, you’ll work through the questions on your own idea, with one-on-one guidance from Venture Studio staff and ambassadors.

You can come with a team or on your own, with an idea already in mind or starting from scratch.
