This fourth-year Honors Wildcat is currently doing working in the Renquist research group since 2017 where he has worked on projects related to lactation, metabolic rate, hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance, asthma, and more. In his free time, you can find him backpacking and hiking in the Tucson mountains.

It is with deep sadness that the Honors College shares the news of the passing of Ellen Melamed, Director of the Medical Humanities Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Ellen was a masterful teacher who had a deep and transformative impact on our students.

This senior Honors Wildcat is working on research in the Manufactured Housing Project on Tucson's local housing and urban development. After graduation, Andrea may be attending graduate school or pursuing in internship in Washington, DC. In her free time, you'll find her baking bread or reading on her front porch.

This second-year Honors Wildcat has worked with Dr. Ruiz's SuRRF Lab, where she helped examine multiracial representation in biomedical research studies throughout the last decade. When she is not doing research you can find her playing guitar, singing, and binge-watching Netflix TV shows.

HONORS STUDENT SPOTLIGHT - CHLOE CRAIG

This second-year Honors Wildcat is Public Health major and is a research assistant in the Sleep and Health Research Program under Dr. Michael Grandner. She is currently focused on investigating the relationship between sleep health disparities and chronic pain conditions in racial/ethnic minority groups. When she is not doing research you can find her in spin classes and having picnics on the mall.

This fourth year Honors Wildcat is double majoring in Anthropology & Religious Studies. He is currently researching and examining changes to the wording of the American Indian category on the 2020 Census. When he isn't conducting research you can find him binge-watching season 1 of Gold Rush on Discovery+.
