Gloria Cota Aguirre
Gloria is proudly from Yuma, AZ, and is a Franke Honors College alumna, graduating in the class of 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, with minors in Spanish and Nutrition. During her undergraduate studies, Gloria pursued research under the guidance of Dr. Cynthia Thomson, focusing on health behavior theory and the influence of colorectal cancer screening among Hispanic populations with type 2 diabetes. Currently, Gloria is working towards her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Behavior and Health Promotion. She uses her previous research experience to help current students explore, connect, and begin their own research journeys. Gloria is passionate about supporting students in gaining acceptance into graduate and professional programs through professional development.
