A variety of scholarships aimed at helping you on your Honors path. Some are based on financial need, and others on your professional development.
Brown Honors Scholarship
Award: up to $500
Number of Awards: 15 per semester
Eligibility:
- Must have cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
- Must be a current member of Honors College
- Demonstrate financial need through essay
- International students are eligible (FAFSA not required)
Fall Open Date: September 1, 2023
Fall Close Date: October 1, 2023
Spring Open Date: February 1, 2024
Spring Close Date: March 1, 2024
Time commitment: up to an hour
Powell Scholarship
Award: up to $2,000
Number of Awards: up to 5
Eligibility:
- Member of the W.A. Franke Honors College
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students
- Minimum GPA of 3.75 for First Year students
- Utilizing or will be utilizing the University of Arizona International Student Services
Open Date: June 15, 2024
Close Date: July 15, 2024
Time commitment: up to an hour
Preference will be given to students who have utilized or are utilizing the University of Arizona International Student Services.
Fisher and Compton Enrichment Award
Award: up to $1,000
Number of Awards: up to 3
Eligibility:
- Continuing Franke Honors Students with a minimum 3.4 GPA (No awards will be made to first-year students)
- Demonstrate financial need through filing of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Open Date: October 1, 2024
Close Date: November 15, 2024
Time commitment: up to an hour
Preference will be given to Pell Grant recipients.
Moore Endowed Honors Scholarship
Award: up to $2,000
Number of Awards: up to 2
Eligibility:
- W.A. Franke Honors College Student
- Sophomore or Junior Student (Current UA Honors student or incoming transfer student)
- Cumulative GPA 3.5 or Higher
- Enrolled Full Time
- Financial Need determined by FAFSA or Financial Need Calculation for International Students
Open Date: January 15, 2024
Close Date: March 1, 2024
Time commitment: up to an hour
Southwestern Foundation Scholarship
Award: up to $3,000 per academic year and a one-time $6,000 study abroad stipend
Number of Awards: up to 5
Eligibility:
- Enrolled at the W.A. Franke Honors College (30 credits) at time of application
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Must join the Honors First Year Trip in Summer 2025
- Must have financial need to be awarded the scholarship and for renewal

Close Date: November 1, 2024
Additional requirements: two letters of recommendation

Honors Professional Development Awards
Award: up to $400 (Award amounts are dependent upon availability of funds.)

Honors Research and Creative Inquiry Awards
Award: up to $1,500

- Current W.A. Franke Honors Student
- Minimum 3.4 GPA

Additional Requirements: letter of support from research mentor.
Time commitment: up to 1 hour
Honors Thesis Awards
Award: up to $1,000
Number of Awards: multiple

- Current W.A. Franke Honors Student
